LAT Paywall Hits Competitor Where It Hurts
Ben Baeder, once the deputy metro editor at the San Gabriel Valley Tribune, now runs news website downeybeat.com. There, he works with a couple of writers and a photographer to try and live up to the site slogan “Breaking News First.”
Today however, his thoughts were given over to a competing news operation, the LA Times. Nine days after the paper activated a website paywall, Baeder has already hit his article limit:
