From CNN’s release:
CNN’s Late Edition with Wolf Blitzer will celebrate Wolf Blitzer’s ten year anniversary anchoring the program with a special edition, airing Sunday, July 6. The two-hour 10th anniversary special will be a retrospective, looking back at a decade of Blitzer’s classic interviews with top newsmakers.
During his tenure as anchor, Blitzer has earned interviews with presidents, heads of state, royalty, foreign leaders, celebrities, military generals, candidates and observers. Among the interviews highlighted during the program will be Blitzer’s sit-downs with former Pakistan Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto before her assassination in 2007; the late Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat during a period of extreme instability in the Middle East in 2002; former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani shortly after 9/11; Michael Jordan before he returned to basketball in 2001; President George W. Bush on the campaign trail in Iowa in 2000; former President Bill Clinton and former Vice President Al Gore in 1999; and former South African President Nelson Mandela during a time of political volatility and heightened racial tensions in his country in 1998.
Additionally, the anniversary special will feature an interview where the tables turn on Blitzer as he becomes the interview subject, speaking in-depth with CNN’s Tom Foreman about personal behind-the-scenes memories leading the broadcast through a decade of news.
