We’d apologize for gloating, but the story is about narcissism and we’re Method writers.
Pimp It And They Will Watch? Universal Music Group is signing a deal today with MTV, giving the network blanket license to its songs and videos for use on cell phones. Yesterday, EMI Music struck a deal with T-Mobile. And cellphone carriers earmarked $1 billion to develop mobile content.

And we totally believe in the power of short form video and that it will — eventually — revolutionize media. But we think cell phone content is for discreet porn viewing and discrete porn viewing alone.
Now, if you’ll excuse us, we have to, um, take an important call.
