Rapper The Game and his Twitter feed are in the news. LA sheriff’s are mulling charges after someone on The Game’s Twitter account (The Game claims it was a friend) tweeted that the rapper was looking for an intern–and gave the number to the LA Sheriff’s Department’s Compton station. The Game’s 583,000-odd followers responded in droves, overloading the Compton station’s help line.
“It was almost like a symphony of misery,” LASD Captain Mike Parker told the LA Times. “You’ve got a multitude of phones ringing simultaneously.”
L.A. County Sheriff’s Department officials say, accident or no, they want an apology from The Game.
Doesn’t look like that’s going to happen. Instead of apologizing, the rapper chimed in with a bit of media criticism.
Not exactly Robert McChesney, but we take his point.
