Kodak Alaris has introduced a new version of its Kodak Moments app on iOS, giving users new storytelling features for turning their images into more complete memories before sharing them with others within the app.
The photo sharing app allows users to upload photos from their camera roll, Facebook, Instagram, Dropbox or Flickr accounts, and add a story or comment about the moment in each image. Users can crop their photos and add block quotes to their text.
As a social platform, users can follow others to view their images, and can post likes and comments on content. Users can also keep their posts private, giving them control over who sees their posts.
In a statement, Nicki Zongrone, president of Kodak Alaris’ imaging consumer division, commented:
The Kodak Moments app is for people who want to tell their stories as a form of self-expression and identity. It’s for people who want their important photos to rise above the clutter and stand out by creating visual stories. With the multi-dimensional storytelling capabilities of the Kodak Moments app, we bring the idea of Kodak Moments into the digital age, bridging the physical and digital ways that people share their memories.
The Kodak Moments app is available to download for free on the iTunes App Store. The app is expected to launch on Android in Spring 2016.
