Knock Knock
From my artist pal (and trusty, adored gallery assistant) Jeffrey Teuton comes a link to the weirdly alluring Knock Man Family, from the “Art & Musical Group” Maywa Denki.
Nobumichi Tosa is the frontman/president of the operation, which aside from producing the KnockMan figures, makes music, produces “Nonsense Machines” and stages product demonstrations that sound more like performance art than anything else. There’s a fascinating article here. (The site as a whole Sake-Drenched Postcards is pretty intriguing.)
