Mobile developer Kiwi, Inc. has announced the launch of its newest game on Android, Westbound, which takes players to the world of the Wild Wild West, encouraging them to build a settlement with the few resources they have on hand.
In Westbound, players taken on the role of pioneer, stranded in a canyon after their covered wagon breaks down. Instead of pushing forward with no transportation, players simply begin their town where they stand, unlocking new helpers, buildings and more as they balance the use of multiple resources (like gold, coins and pickaxes).
Westbound sees players mining for artifacts and searching for treasures, with references to ancient civilizations that lived in the area before. Players can also farm for resources, including maize and will earn experience points as they complete quests and other general tasks around the town.
The more characters players have access to, the more tasks they’ll be able to complete at once, while the game’s trailer (found below) teases interactions with outlaws, who will look to steal all of their hard-earned resources.
Westbound is now available to download for free on Google Play, and is supported via in-app purchases. Check back soon to follow the game on AppData, our tracking service for mobile and social apps and developers.
