Back in February a company called Brainchild announced its first product, an Android tablet for the academic market. That tablet has started shipping this week to schools in 10 US states.
The Kineo has generally decent hardware specs. It’s running Android v2.1 on a dual core 800MHz CPU with Wifi, 2GB Flash storage, SD card slot, as well a Flahs player and a MP4 player. The Kineo has been customized to be more secure and provide a more controlled experience. It’s also designed to be more durable and work better in the classroom.
