Mic has named Kerry Lauerman executive director of news. Lauerman most recently served as The Washington Post’s national projects editor.
Prior to joining WaPo in 2014, Lauerman co-founded The Dodo and worked for Salon for more than a decade. During his time with Salon, he served as its executive editor and editor in chief.
Politico reports that Lauerman will join Mic October 31.
