Jonathan Gold Wins Prestigious M.F.K. Fisher Award

L.A.’s favorite Pulitzer Prize-winning food critic has scored yet another accolade, this time from the James Beard Foundation. At Saturday night’s JBF Books, Broadcast and Journalism Awards ceremony in New York, Mr. Gold won the M.F.K. Fisher Distinguished Writing Award for his LA Weekly story “A Movable Beast.”

The M.F.K. Fisher award, which is described as recognizing “a single article of exceptional literary merit pertaining to food and/or drink published in any medium,” was named for author Mary Frances Kennedy Fisher, herself a Southern California native.
