Ebony Magazine Searches For A New Home

Johnson Publishing, Ebony magazine’s parent company, is on the search for new headquarters as it has just finalized the sale of its historic Michigan Ave. offices in Chicago to Columbia College. The building, completed in 1972, is the first major edifice in downtown Chicago designed by an African American since Jean Baptiste Point DuSable’s trading post, completed a whole two centuries prior.

Johnson Publishing has plans to build a committee to determine the next place the company’s worldwide headquarters will call home.
