John Huey to Step Down from Time Inc.

Today’s sizzling media rumor: John Huey, longtime editor-in-chief of Time Inc.’s empire, is leaving the post by the end of the year. Spread it while it’s hot! Or whatever.

The New York Post cites sources claiming that Huey has already lined up a Shorenstein fellowship gig at the Harvard Kennedy School, and he’s all but counting down the days until his departure.

Huey grabbed the top editor spot at Time Inc. in 2006, after serving as Time’s editorial director since 2001.
