Joe Scarborough's Imus Moment

Today’s foot-in-mouth award goes to MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough.

On the June 1st episode of his Morning Joe telecast, Scarborough implied that Fred Thompson‘s wife is a stripper. While speaking with Congressional Quarterly‘s Craig Crawford about the Law & Order star-turned-politician, the two had the following exchange:

Scarborough: Have you seen Fred Thompson’s wife?

Crawford: Oh, yeah.

Scarborough: You think she thinks she works the pole?

CBS is referring to the incident as the talk show host’s “Imus moment.”
