Joe Levy Named Editor of 'Billboard'

'Rolling Stone' vet succeeds Danyel Smith

Longtime music editor Joe Levy is returning to his roots as the new editor of Billboard. He'll replace Danyel Smith, who left recently after a year in the position.

Billboard, like Adweek, is owned by Prometheus Global Media.

Levy started his career at the music industry magazine Cash Box before going on to serve in top editorial roles at Blender and Wenner Media’s Rolling Stone. He most recently was the chief content officer at Maxim, where he was replaced
