Jodi Applegate to Step Down from PIX11
Jodi Applegate is stepping down from her position as anchor of PIX 11 News at Five and PIX 11 News at Ten. Applegate made the decision to resign because she and her husband — Michael Kay — are expecting a daughter in January, via gestational carrier. Applegate has been with WPIX since 2010.
“After years of putting my career first, I’ve decided to step back for a moment and enjoy this new role,” Applegate said, in a statement.
