Jim Perry, Editor of Los Angeles Firefighter is Dead

Retired LAFD Fire Captain and editor of the award-winning Los Angeles Firefighter Jim Perry died in a car crash earlier today near his home in Reno according to reports. He was 69 years old.

Jim was a rare treat in this world; funny, weird, adamant, charming, smart and most importantly a fireman. He was someone who dedicated his life to helping other people.

The byline this fishie is most proud of is one at the Los Angeles Firefighter.

He will be missed and never replicated.
