Yesterday was the first day of the Jeopardy Teachers Tournament semifinals, a week’s worth of episodes that begin and end at the DAR Constitution Hall in Washington. It was a classically dramatic contestant configuration for the episode: A player who dominated the buzzer and therefore the lead in the first half, a way-back-in-third player who got her buzzer flow in time to snag the daily doubles in double Jeopardy in time to expand her lead for the final Jeopardy question.
