Forget the green beer for St. Patrick’s Day this year. Instead, raise a glass of Jameson and check your cell phone to see if your hourly toast has arrived so you can take a drink.
Jameson Irish whiskey parent Pernod Ricard USA has hooked up with mobile marketer HipCricket to send mobile toasts to folks who’ve signed up for the Jameson Full-On Irish sweepstakes, a report in Mobile Marketer says.
According to the article, whiskey drinkers of legal age can text the word “IRISH” to “80782” to opt in to receive toasts daily through March 17 or hourly on March 16 and 17.
If you need incentive to check it out, consider that entering the sweepstakes gets you the chance to win one of five trips to the Old Jameson distillery in Dublin.
