James Cuno Named Head of J. Paul Getty Trust

James Cuno is heading west. The president and director of the Art Institute of Chicago has been named president and CEO of the J. Paul Getty Trust, which encompasses the Getty Conservation Institute, the Getty Foundation, the J. Paul Getty Museum, and the Getty Research Institute, and operates both the Getty Center in Los Angeles and the Getty Villa in Malibu. “The Getty needs a leader with an understanding of all aspects of the visual arts, who is known and respected around the world for intellectual curiosity and achievement,” said Mark S.
