Nearly 485,000 Facebook users make for a compelling argument, as People reports that former Golden Girl Betty White will appear on NBC’s Saturday Night Live.
White confirmed the news when approached by People at Elton John’s annual Oscars viewing party Sunday night, and, speaking about Facebook Fan Page Betty White to Host SNL (please?)!, she said, “I don’t know why or how, but it’s been wonderful.”
Entertainment Weekly reported Feb. 21 that White would appear on a special “Women of Comedy” episode, alongside former SNL cast members Molly Shannon, Tina Fey, and Amy Poehler, but People reported that SNL executive producer Lorne Michaels denied that.
