iPhone 4S Sales Hit 4 Million Worldwide

Apple reported today that the company has already sold more than four million iPhone 4S devices. The device began shipping on October 14th.

The Wall Street Journal has more: “‘This certainly puts them on a pace for a strong quarter of sales,’ said Tavis McCourt, a Morgan, Keegan & Co. analyst, who expects Apple to record 27 million iPhone sales globally this quarter. ‘This iPhone had some significant upgrades in terms of user experience and it had been 15 months since the last iPhone update.'”

Apple has also reported that more than 25 million customers are already using iOS 5, the company’s new mobile operating system.

The iPhone 4S is currently available in the U.S., Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Japan and the UK. It will be available in 22 more countries on October 28 and in more than 70 countries by the end of the year.
