iPad To Get Multitouch Features

Imagine reading an eBook and being able to use multiple fingers to interact with the page. iPad users may have this ability sooner than you think.

Apple is rumored to release its new iOS 4.3 mobile operating system in March, and has already given developers a look at the new interface. Wired.com tested it out and here is what they had to say: “The multitouch gestures in iOS 4.3 feel very natural. Using four (or five) fingers to swipe, you can control the iPad’s multitasking drawer, app-switching and returning to the home screen.”

Interactive eBook designers should keep this in mind when designing books for the iPad.
