A YouTube wedding video is making the rounds this morning, featuring a very interesting use of technology. One of the bridesmaids that couldn’t make it to the wedding in person was able to attend virtually and even be in the ceremony…via iPad!
Bridesmaid Renee was unable to make it to the wedding of Jamie Wilborn and Jonathan Alberico in Denver, CO, but thanks to Apple’s FaceTime technology she not only got to attend, but is also going viral on YouTube today. Jamie, the bride, says, “Renee called dibs to be my bridesmaid many, many moons ago and unfortunately she couldn’t physically make it out here, but thank you technology! Here is Renee!”
Renee got to walk down the aisle, “hand in hand” with one of the groomsmen, she got to watch the ceremony, meet everyone at the reception, and she says, “I got all teary eyed during the ceremony, and I couldn’t have got that from pictures.”
Check out the video below and let us know what you think about the virtual iPad bridesmaid! Do you think we’ll be seeing more virtual attendees as weddings and other events in the future?
