International Mobile Gaming Awards winners unveiled

The winners of the 8th annual International Mobile Gaming Awards have been announced at the conclusion of the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.

Epic Games’ Chair Entertainment walked away with the highest honors of the night, winning both the Grand Prix and the Excellence in Gameplay awards. Canadian developer Capy’s game Superbrothers: Sword & Sworcery EP was awarded Most Innovative Game. Both games are also in contention for the title of Best Handheld/Mobile game at up upcoming Game Developers Choice Awards.

Lithuanian developer On5 took home the newly created prize for Best Mobile Social Game. The full list of winners is as follows:

MOST INNOVATIVE GAME

The IGMA awards were created to honor mobile games demonstrating exceptional quality and innovation. Games designed for tablets, netbooks and handheld consoles are not eligible.
