Pending Facebook acquisition Instagram may be looking to expand its Web presence if a discovery by Web designer Cole Reinke leads to anything. The photo-sharing application was acquired by the social network for $1 billion in April, and the transaction has not yet officially closed.
Reinke captured the screen grab below of a pull-down menu allowing Instagram users to view their profiles directly from the app’s website, although he said clicking on the link resolved to a 404 error, and the view profile selection was pulled soon thereafter.
