Instagram Now Has 100 Million Monthly Users

Instagram has surpassed 100 million monthly active users users, the company said today.

It last announced in mid-January that it had 90 million monthly active users (or MAUs). It was the first time the company had released MAU data.

The impressive rate of growth suggests that the flap over the company’s changed terms of service in December had little negative effect.

By way of comparison, Twitter has 200 million MAUs, and Facebook has 1 billion.

Instagram launched in October 2010.
