Instagram's Bolt is Now Official
Instagram has launched its photo-messaging app in a handful of countries, despite using another app's name.
Instagram has launched Bolt in New Zealand, Singapore and South Africa, reports our sister site Inside Facebook. This is despite the fact that the CEO of mobile voice app Bolt penned an open letter asking Instagram not to steal its name:
We’ve seen the rumors. You’re about to launch a one-touch photo-messaging app to rival Snapchat. And we sincerely hope it’s a spectacular success.
There’s just one problem: You’re going to name it Bolt.
