Joblessness in the U.S., I’ve read, is at its worst since the great depression of the 1930s. Having gone through this experience myself, I know what this means all too well. I’ve also been reading that the U.S. is having an economic recovery that does not involve job creation. That seems to ring true to me too. But, there are jobs out there. And, there are companies looking for the right people to hire. Industry giant Pepsico (Pepsi, Frito Lay, Tropicana, Quaker, Gatorade, 7-Up – the brand list goes on and on) has, what seems to me, to be a unique and interesting way to search for those right people.
They created apps for the iPhone, iPad, and Android to let people interested in Pepsico an easy way to learn more about the company through videos, employee blogs, FAQs, and tweets. It also gives the job seeker the ability to search for employment inforamtion by keyword, job title or location.
