Twenty-two miles east of Downtown Los Angeles there is a place where pigs, apparently, roam wild and free in the streets. But not for long. The Covina City Council is considering banning off-leash pigs. How do we know this? Because we routinely check the San Gabriel Valley Tribune’s Twitter feed, which consistently posts links to the weirdest friggin’ stories in Los Angeles County.
Could we live a long and fulfilling life without knowing the status of Covina’s pig-leash laws? Absolutely. But we love the fact that someone out there is reporting on this stuff and putting it in print. It feels so quaint — like staring at a Norman Rockwell painting…a Rockwell painting about child molestation and drunk drivers crashing into hospitals.
Keep up the good work Tribuners.
