There are two explosive strands in Ian Halperin’s new book Whitney & Bobbi Kristina: The Deadly Price of Fame, out today. The author presents evidence of an extortion plot seemingly connected to mom’s rumored bisexuality and suggests that the tragic discovery of Bobbi Kristina in a bathtub last year may have been related to a drug overdose and attempts to revive her.
The promotional push for the unauthorized biography from Simon & Schuster imprint Gallery Books is in full swing. Author Halperin was on Opie & Jim Norton today, as well as Good Morning America. The GMA interview was filmed last week in Miami, where Halperin resides:
The interview was conducted June 2 by GMA correspondent Mara Schiavocampo and took place in The Forge Library. The setting wasn’t so far out of left field considering The Forge was one of Whitney Houston’s favorite restaurants and Whitney and Bobby Brown once serenaded each other at the bar.
Halperin’s previous books include the 2009 Michael Jackson biography Unmasked.
