Hugo Balta Joins WCBS-TV as Managing Editor
WCBS-TV News Director David Friend has announced that Hugo Balta is joining CBS2 News as Managing Editor.
For the last six years, Balta was Vice President of News at Telemundo’s New York station. Prior to that, he was a producer at WNBC and and a senior producer at MSNBC. Balta is also Vice President of Broadcasting for the National Association of Hispanic Journalists.
Balta begins the new gig Tuesday, July 6th.
