HuffPost Cofounder Ken Lerer Launching Site Dedicated to Animals
Ken Lerer, the cofounder of The Huffington Post and BuzzFeed chairman, is bringing more animals to the Internet. Lerer, along with his daughter Isabel and Kerry Lauerman (the former Salon editor), are planning to debut The Dodo sometime this fall.
Lerer told Techcrunch that he thinks the Internet needs The Dodo because everyone loves stories about creatures:
Our thinking is that the topic of animals, animal rights and the relationship between animal and people is an issue that’s on the cusp of exploding.
