Hubdub Crosses the Pond with FanDuel

FanDuel.jpgScotland-based news-betting site Hubdub entered the U.S. fantasy-games arena with FanDuel, which pits fans against each other in daily or weekly Major League Baseball or National Football League match-ups, rather than having them play out an entire season, paidContent:UK reported.

FanDuel charges users $5, $10 or $25 to sign up for each game, and winners receive cash prizes.

Hubdub founder and CEO Nigel Eccles told paidContent:UK:

The current plan is to focus on the U.S. market for the rest of this year. Although since we’ve launched (i.e. in the last couple of hours!), we’ve had interest from a major U.K. football site, so we may look into what we can do over here, as well.
