HTC Hopes To Shine with 2 Million Diamonds This Year

HTC, which just released its Touch Diamond smartphone last week, said that it hopes to sell two million of the latest iPhone rival by year-end, Pocket-lint reports.

The Diamond’s predecessor, the HTC Touch, hit the two-million mark just seven months after its release, so the target might be attainable, especially since HTC intends to offer the Diamond in 30 countries.

To add a little perspective about the Diamond’s chance at being an iPhone killer, Apple sold a million iPhones in just 74 days after its June 2007 launch, and that was only in the US.
