In this past weekend’s Kansas City Star, Erica Jones talks about how she got hired by Fleishman Hillard:
Persistence definitely worked. It took six months for me to land my job [at FH]. I kept the lines of communication open with the people I’d met throughout the interview process. It just took a while for a position to open up within the area that was the best fit for me.
Overall it’s pretty standard advice, but the six month timeline seems a bit long to us. It’s safe to say we’ll be writing more about the PR job market in the future, so if you have anything to share, let us know: prnewser at mediabistro.com.
