While Facebook said that users would have to wait to be invited, there is apparently a single page that you can access that will enable you to switch to the new messaging system. So much for waiting! All you need to do is visit http://www.facebook.com/about/messages/ and click on the “Go To Messages” button as pictured in the image below.
