Buying an eReader doesn’t mean that you have to cut ties with your local library. In fact, the opposite is true.
Overdrive has partnerships with more than 13,000 libraries, so the chances are good that your local library is on there. The way you download eBooks is through their app, which works on iPhones, iPads, BlackBerry and Android devices. Through the app, you can find your local library and click the ‘Get Books’ option. Once you find the eBook that you’d like to check out, you go through the same process you would in person –you give them your library card.
