Hot 97 DJ Cipha Sounds Returns to Air Following Suspension
Cipha Sounds is back on the air at Emmis owned Hip Hop station Hot 97.
As we reported last month, Sounds (whose real name is Luis Diaz) was suspended from his morning show duties following comments he made during one show.
Sounds said, “The reason I’m HIV negative is because I don’t mess with Haitian girls.”
Emmis management was quick to respond, saying that he needed to undergo sensitivity training focused on the Haitian community.
At the time, several Haitian organizations were calling for his termination.
