History Channel Launches iPhone App
A&E Television Networks Mobile has created a new location-based mobile app with content from The History Channel called History Here.
Using GPS, users can look up points of interest based on their location, to learn a history lesson. The free app is loaded with facts and content about American history and is geographically linked to more than 3,500 locations nationwide. Some of these entries include narrative text, audio, video, photos and/or maps. The content is ever growing, and The History Channel plans to continue to add points of interest.
