You know what they say… it’s not real, unless it’s on social media.
Well, the 2016 Democratic presidential candidate, Hillary Clinton, who officially announced her candidacy last month, apparently made the job search real today by posting it on LinkedIn.
“I created a LinkedIn Profile. Yes, I’m looking for a new job,” wrote Clinton in her first status.
The former resident of 1600 Pennsylvania Ave joined the business-oriented social media website as an “Influencer” — throwing up her first post this morning, entitled “Four Ways to Jump-Start Small Business.”
The post lays out some of her ideas on the economic climate, particularly in regard to small businesses, with occasional politically cliche phrases like, “small businesses are the backbone of our economy, and they have as much to teach us as ever.” She even goes into her position on expanding access to new markets, including those overseas (nudge, nudge).
“Every American small business should be able to tap new markets,” wrote the former Secretary of State. “Whether they are across their city, across their state, or around the world. Some American businesses are already doing this through new platforms, such as Etsy and Ebay.”
It’ll be interesting to see how the vetting process goes throughout her job hunt…
