The current front-runner in the democratic presidential race is really tired of people asking her about that alleged wiped server.
In a news conference Tuesday in Las Vegas, Hillary Clinton was visibly ruffled when Fox News’ Ed Henry asked whether or not she had wiped the server hosting her private email account.
Clinton’s reply, her hands thrown up in bemusement: “What, like with a cloth or something?”
Under further questioning, Clinton pleaded ignorance of what “wiping” a server would entail saying, “I don’t know how it works digitally at all.”
The presser came on the heels of two less than auspicious reports. On Tuesday, Henry reported that the IT company Clinton chose to retain her servers kept them in the bathroom closet of the Denver apartment-office. Which, let’s be honest, just doesn’t sound good.
And on Monday, government lawyers filed papers on the ongoing review of Clinton’s emails, indicating that 305 emails may contain classified information. At the Las Vegas press conference, Clinton continued to deny using her private email to send or receive “any material marked or designated classified.”
Clinton is doing very little for herself and her relationship with the press by consistently being evasive in her answers. And it’s clear that, for the press, the questions won’t be going away anytime soon. It’s like Woody Allen once said: “A relationship, I think, is like a shark, you know? It has to constantly move forward or it dies. And I think what we got on our hands is a dead shark.”
