The Hill Names Bob Cusack as Editor in Chief

Hugo Gurdon leaves for Washington Examiner after 11 years

The Hill, "publication of record for policy influencers inside and outside Washington," announced today the appointment of Bob Cusack as editor in chief. Cusack will replace 11-year veteran Hugo Gurdon, who is leaving the publication for a new position at the Washington Examiner.

Cusack has led the day-to-day operations of The Hill as managing editor for the past 10 years and previously served as the publication's business and lobbying editor. During his tenure at The Hill, Cusack has won five awards from the National Press Club and the Society of Professional Journalists for investigative articles on topics including national security, presidential politics and healthcare.
