Have you ever wanted to share an Instagram post with another user, but weren’t sure how? Did you know Instagram Direct, Instagram’s direct messaging feature, lets you share posts directly through the application? Our guide will show you how it’s done.

Step 1: Tap the paper airplane icon below the image/video you’d like to share.
Step 2: You can choose the post’s recipient(s) by either selecting them from the recommendations provided (represented by the gray rectangles in our images below), or by tapping the magnifying glass to search for one or more specific users.
