Here Are Lester Holt's 3 Debate Topics for the First Presidential Debate

Economics, security and "direction."

NBC Nightly News anchor Lester Holt, moderator of the first presidential debate at Hofstra University in New York on Sept. 26, has announced the three topics under which he’ll focus his questions for the evening.

They are: America’s direction, achieving prosperity, and securing America. Pretty vague and nondescript, although that can leave Holt with a lot of interpretative space.

Each subject will be tackled in two 15-minute sessions, for a total debate time of 90 minutes.
