When people are living healthy, they want to tell the world about it. Now that spring is underway, there a many more people considering their health and getting in shape for the summer. An infographic from ShareThis breaks down the demographics and social data.

The healthy-shopper audience is a very active group. Nearly 40 million users generate almost 50 million shares between them. Healthy shoppers are also more wealthy — 86 percent of them are taking home more than $50,000 per year, compared to 80 percent of the general population.

Healthy shoppers are more likely to share their thoughts and purchases than the general population. In fact, they’re 3.6 times more likely to share, and their shares are two times more likely to generate clicks.

What this means for health brands is that leveraging this influential group could result in powerful brand advocates. And since these users extend their reach across multiple platforms, their advocacy could be incredibly valuable.
