Has Facebook Blocked Google+?

Facebook has been quick to deny the accusation, and even explained to ZDNet that it was unable to replicate the situation. Most likely, Facebook’s display-filtering technology that helps prevent spam eliminated the invite link. Suggesting the links were simply being posted too frequently and causing the spam system to block the invite-link.

Google and Facebook are at it again. This time one of Google’s executives posted a video implying that Facebook is blocking friend links on the rival network. But, Facebook countered quickly claiming the implication is preposterous.

“We are getting reports of Google+ invite links not showing up on Facebook news feeds anymore (they appear to have stopped Friday).” wrote Vic Gundotra, Google’s senior vice president of social business. “I wonder how widespread this problem is?”

Gundotra even posted a video that clearly demonstrates what he wrote.
