HarperCollins' Library Collins Language Dictionary Going Digital

HarperCollins’ Collins Language dictionary is going digital. The company has created an ad-supported website at collinsdictionary.com to let Internet users check English language definitions for free.

The library which has about 120,000 words available is in the process of upping its content and will have almost double that number of words by March.

Scotsman.com has more: “It is the first traditional publisher in the UK to offer such a detailed variety of scholarly content without a subscription on the internet, pitting its product against other free-to-access online dictionaries such as dictionary.com
