Right-wing flame thrower Andrew Breitbart began baiting PBS’s Gwen Ifill about three days ago for participating in a panel on race on Martha’s Vineyard last week. He continued baiting her early this morning.
Aside from Ifill, the panel included NYT Columnist Charles Blow, former Virginia Gov. Doug Wilder, the first black governor since reconstruction, and Anita Hill. Harvard Prof. Charles Ogletree moderated the talk.
This morning at 7:36 a.m. she finally fired back: “@AndrewBreitbart I defend what I SAY. And I quote what people say. In context.”
Here’s what Breitbart said to engage her, if you can even call it that. Tim Wise, who attended the panel, is a white anti-racism activist.
“So, my black conservative friends & allies: Are you surprised you weren’t invited to Gwen Ifill/Charles Ogletree ‘race forum’?” Breitbart asked on Twitter on Aug. 20. And this: “Gwen Ifill @pbsgwen– why is nasty, lying white race-baiter Tim Wise on your ‘race panel,’ but not one black conservative?” he asked on Saturday.
Early this morning at approximately 3 a.m. ET, he started up again. “Do you defend being on a ‘race panel’ with MANY black libs, no black conservatives & Tim ‘I Hope Breitbart’s Family Suffers’ Wise? @pbsgwen”
