In yet another sign that The Guardian is dedicated to its expansion in America, the paper has named Rachel Israel its executive VP of Guardian Labs, US. Guardian Labs US is the paper’s states-based branded content team.

Israel comes to The Guardian from Mindshare, where most recently served as executive director, strategic planning. Prior to that, she worked for more than 15 years at another media giant — MEC.

The Guardian North America’s CEO Eamonn Store spoke quite highly of Israel. “Rachel’s insights and wealth of experience as well as her exhaustive energy and boundless enthusiasm perfectly align with the commercial vision we are building here at Guardian,” said Store.
