GSN Games has announced its acquisition of Bingo Bash creator Bash Gaming (formerly BitRhymes). Bingo Bash has over 2.7 million monthly active users (MAU) on Facebook (according to AppData), and is also available on iOS, Android and Kindle devices. With this acquisition, GSN Games says it will reach a MAU count of nearly 10 million players.
GSN will help Bash Gaming scale its titles to reach new players, as well as integrate advanced user acquisition and analytic tools going forward.
“This transaction will not only strengthen the GSN Games portfolio, it supports our strategy of building a diverse business, operating across all major platforms, with a broad portfolio of titles in both social casino and skill tournament genres,” said Jeff Karp, executive vice president of mobile and social games at GSN Games.
GSN Games plans to leverage Bash Gaming’s existing multiplayer gaming technology to create unique bingo experiences alongside its own platform for real-prize tournaments.
“With the Bash Gaming acquisition, we will expose our millions of social casino players to the Bingo Bash experience, while introducing existing Bingo Bash players to our highly engaging games including Wheel of Fortune Slots and Deal or No Deal Slots. We will leverage the strength of our respective organizations, including talent, reach and technology, to build a gaming powerhouse,” added Karp.
GSN expects to close the acquisition in mid-March 2014.
